Sigenics is proud to announce that Sigenics-designed microchips have been implanted in the first human subject for the trial of an Intracortical Visual Prosthesis. This project was led by Phil Troyk, President and CEO of Sigenics, in his role as Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Executive Director of the Pritzker Institute of Biomedical Science and Engineering at the Illinois Institute of Technology. This landmark implantation represents over 20 years of research and teamwork with 8 other institutions.
